Job summary

Bromford Flagship Livewest is seeking a skilled Solar PV Surveyor to support the rollout of solar PV installations and low-carbon heating across our housing stock. You will conduct site surveys, assess feasibility, and produce detailed reports for installation teams.

Essential qualifications include experience in surveying or renewable energy, knowledge of solar PV systems and BS7671, and a full UK driving licence. A commitment to safety and sustainability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in surveying, construction, or renewable energy.
• Strong technical understanding of solar PV systems and low-carbon heating.
• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interpret data and provide practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Independent worker with team collaboration.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• 17th/18th Edition (BS7671).
• ECS Health & Safety.
• Desirable: Inspection & Testing (2391 or 2394/2395).
• Desirable: knowledge of Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS).

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to assess suitability for solar PV and electric heating installations.
• Evaluate roof structure, orientation, shading, and electrical infrastructure.
• Assess internal layouts and existing heating systems for compatibility.
• Produce accurate, detailed reports to support installation teams.
• Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities early in the process.
• Collaborate with residents, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Promote a strong focus on health and safety, customer experience, and sustainability.
