Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician in Prewitt, NM. The role covers maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems with emphasis on safety and independent work.

You will monitor operations via SCADA, perform preventive and corrective tasks, and guide junior technicians. Eligible candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, with electrical certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Electrical certifications or related training preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M and electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and operate SCADA/CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair AC/DC solar systems including inverters, modules, transformers, and switchgear.
• Monitor plant operations via SCADA; assist with commissioning, testing, and modifications.
• Follow safety protocols (JHA, LOTO) and ensure site procedures are followed.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with remote operators to resolve site issues.
• Maintain maintenance records using CMMS software.
• Guide and mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Perform installation tasks: torquing, calibration, and use of specialized tools.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting across multiple OEM platforms.
• Develop and implement LOTO procedures and electrical work plans.
• Read, interpret, and develop complex procedures and schematics.
• Interface with customers to report site conditions and findings.
• Verify tooling/parts against work plans; document adjustments and findings.
• Develop and execute maintenance schedules and work plans.
