Job summary

Summit Ridge Energy in Arlington, VA is seeking a Project Engineer to support Project Managers in executing and commissioning solar PV and energy storage projects. You will lead technical problem solving across design, procurement, construction, quality control, energy modeling, and performance testing.

The role requires a 4-year STEM degree, 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 4-year STEM degree required.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills related to energy modeling and cost analysis.
• Ability to travel to project sites and lift to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution and delivery with the project team.
• Coordinate with project managers and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate with clients, partners, contractors, and developers to support execution.
• Learn and use energy modeling apps and data platforms.
• Assist with reporting project progress, costs and performance metrics.
• Ensure safety and compliance across design, construction and operations.
• Travel to project sites as determined by management.
