Job summary

Solar Landscape is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of solar projects. You will assist with planning, budgeting, procurement, construction management, reporting, scheduling, and risk management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, 2+ years in the solar industry, and strong organizational and communication skills. Flexible remote/hybrid options are available in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Dynamics 365.
  • 2+ years of experience in the solar industry in a project coordination or project support role.
  • Strong understanding of commercial PV construction, including rooftop, ground-mount, and carport installations.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, budgeting, management, and completion of PV projects.
  • Coordinate design and permitting activities with engineering team and local authorities.
  • Follow Solar Landscape Safety and Quality standards and make sure others are adhering to policies.
  • Provide input on construction schedules for assigned projects.
  • Solicit, negotiate, and execute subcontracts and purchase orders with timely delivery to support the project schedule.
  • Schedule and manage deliveries of materials and equipment. Maintain accurate receiving records and provide timely follow up to missing items, damaged goods, backorders, etc.
  • Assist with planning and execution of self-performed work and managing labor crews and subcontractors. Plan sequencing, crew-sizes, productivity goals, and monthly labor spend. Execute work and track actual results, adjusting and refining forecasts to reflect actual production.
  • Help complete all job closeout procedures including AHJ inspections, interconnection, testing, documentation, Owner’s Engineer reviews, Independent Engineer reviews.
  • Build trust and rapport with all Solar Landscape departments.
