This remote role supports solar developers and installers by providing program insights and improvements while contributing to climate solutions. What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide program support, including hosting check-ins and feedback roundtables for solar developers and installers
- Collect and analyze feedback from small distributed generation solar developers to identify program improvement opportunities
- Monitor small DG solar market trends and present findings to internal stakeholders
- Lead project implementation for training and support initiatives related to small DG
- Assist with the registration and training of participants in the Illinois Shines Mentorship Program
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on energy, preferably in renewable energy policy or engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the energy sector
- Knowledge and experience in the small distributed generation solar market
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with formal project management training preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with solar incentive programs, particularly the Illinois Shines Program
- Experience using collaboration tools such as Slack, Salesforce, or SharePoint
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote work environment
