Job summary

Advanced Green Technologies (AGT) is seeking an experienced Solar Foreman to lead and support commercial solar installation projects. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years as Foreman.
  • 10+ years electrical experience.
  • 2 years minimum experience with Solar Installation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and keep the work area clean for installation.
  • Plan new/modified installations to minimize waste.
  • Install controls and distribution gear (switches, panels, disconnects, inverters).
  • Analyze proper fastening systems for equipment support.
  • Terminate wiring and equipment per code or job specs.
  • Connect power cables to equipment per manufacturer specs.
  • Prepare sketches showing wiring locations or follow diagrams.
  • Test continuity of circuits for safety and compatibility.
  • Observe equipment to determine hazards and needed adjustments.
  • Install solar components (AC/DC) per plan.
  • Install solar modules and racking per plans.
  • Manage teams when foreman is not onsite.

Advanced Green Technologies (AGT) is seeking an experienced Solar Foreman to lead and support commercial solar installation projects. The Solar Leadman will manage and lead crews of up to 10 team members when the foreman is not onsite, providing technical expertise, coordinating daily operations, and driving productivity across all assigned projects. This role plays a critical part in forecasting, execution, and ensuring successful project completion in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and keeps clean work area for installation of equipment
  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Installs controls and distribution gear, such as switches, panel boards, disconnects and Inverters
  • Analyze proper fastening system for equipment support
  • Terminate wiring and equipment as per code or job specification
  • Connect power cables to equipment such as Disconnects, Panel boards, Inverters, motors, and transformer per manufacturer specs and permitted drawings.
  • Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams/blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
  • Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments such as Amp probe, clamp meter and voltage meter.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Installs all solar related components AC and DC electric per plan.
  • Installs Solar modules and racking per plans
  • Managing teams when foreman is not onsite
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required

Education

  • High school or equivalent

Experience

  • 5+ years in a Forman position
  • 10+ years of electrical experience
  • 2 years minimum experience with Solar Installation – preferred

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Successful Pre-Employment Drug
  • Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
  • Ability to lift 100 LBS or more
  • NAPCEP Certified - preferred
  • Must be able to lift 100IBS or more
  • Statewide travel is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Adaptable to new technologies and web-based software systems
