Job summary

ARCO/Murray's Power Solutions team in Downers Grove, IL invites an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support the design, procurement, and installation of solar and other alternative energy projects. You will help with preconstruction tasks, project execution, and supplier coordination, while using in-house tools to design solar solutions and assist with equipment selection and logistics.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Engineering program or related field of study.
• Prior industry internship experience is a plus.
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be a key part of the Power Solutions team delivering turnkey power solutions to our clients.
• Take on administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout.
• Assist with designing Solar solutions using innovative in-house tools in support of our design/build sales process.
• Oversee equipment selection, buyout process, and logistics for full project scope.
• Work as an integral part of team procuring solar panels, inverters, and other associated power components from our supplier and distributor networks.
• Utilize and expand our national and international network of equipment suppliers.
• Assist in the development of Solar, CHP, Micro-grid solutions as part of master power planning for clients.
