Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Pile Driver Operator II responsible for operating and maintaining pile driving equipment per Mortenson safety policies. duties include following safety regulations, performing basic preventive maintenance, and working on Vermeer PD10 on site.

Strong teamwork, customer service, and independent work skills are essential. Required are a valid driver’s license, at least 1 year of related experience, and the ability to read safety rules and load charts.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications as required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Current driver’s license with proper classification and endorsements as required by law.
• Strong teamwork orientation and professional customer service skills; detail-oriented.
• Ability to read safety rules, manuals, and load charts.
• Ability to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and steering; knowledge of equipment use.
• Ability to work independently with good listening and communication skills.
• Physical capability for lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an Pile Driver Operator II that will be responsible for operatingand maintaining pile driving equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows prescribed safety regulations
• Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
• Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
• Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
• Follows work plans and pre-task cards
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
• Operate Vermeer PD10 per requirements on site

QUALIFICATIONS

• Equipment certifications as required
• Minimum one (1) year of related experience
• Current driver's license of proper classification and necessary endorsements as required by law
• Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, and detail-oriented; ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts
• Ability to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and maneuvering steering wheels; knowledge of equipment and their uses; basic mathematical skills
• Ability to work independently with active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
