Job summary

Illuminate USA in Pataskala, Ohio, is seeking a Production Technician to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot solar panel production equipment to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on the line.

You will follow SOPs, perform inspections, document data, and support line changes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires reliability and teamwork on 12‑hour shifts, day or night, onsite at the Columbus area facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems, tools, and processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and equipment interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust automated and semi-automated production equipment to maintain consistent product quality and output.
• Perform visual inspections of materials and finished products, identifying defects and escalating issues when needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including performing routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
• Partner with team members, maintenance, and leadership to troubleshoot issues and prevent equipment downtime.
• Document production data accurately and completely in designated systems.
• Support continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements and identifying quality risks.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation.
• Assist with material handling, loading and unloading, and line changeovers as required.
• Support training efforts by sharing knowledge, demonstrating processes, and assisting new associates.
