Job summary

PA Solar Center is seeking a part-time Outreach Coordinator to support the GET Solar program in southwestern Pennsylvania. You will build relationships with municipal and school leaders, business associations, and community groups to attract more entities to solar.

You will report to the Assistant Director of Outreach & Strategy, work with a small team, and coordinate outreach across the 10-county region. Some travel, evening meetings, and a flexible weekday schedule are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years of community education, outreach, or sales experience.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Access to a vehicle with current registration and inspection.
• Must reside in the 10-county region of southwestern Pennsylvania.
• Ability to work independently, including virtually.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to jumpstart partnerships with community leaders and municipalities in Southwestern Pennsylvania focusing on low-income, Justice40, and environmental justice communities.
• Engage with businesses, property owners, community organizations, chambers of commerce, legislators, nonprofits, schools, and municipalities in person and virtually.
• Prepare or consult on communication materials about the program for customers.
• Report on program performance and suggest improvements.
• Refer commercial entities to the GET Solar program.
• Coordinate and help design outreach activities with the team and Assistant Director.
• Assist with SolarCorps mapping sessions to calculate solar potential.
• Support mailing campaigns and follow-up to encourage solar adoption.
• Track outreach activities and provide weekly updates to the team.
• Demonstrate commitment to diversity and cultural competence.
