Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a solar monitoring system in Montgomery County, NY. The role involves weekly field maintenance, data logging in Excel, and documenting with photos. Training will be provided remotely, with potential on-site training when possible.

No solar experience is required, but preferred. You must have reliable transportation to and from the remote SMS location, and be able to work 2–4 hours per week for 1–2 years as part of this contract.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated computer literacy, including ability to enter data into an Excel spreadsheet and upload attachments to SharePoint with accuracy.
• Training will be provided remotely; no solar experience required, but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly maintenance of the solar monitoring system at the remote SMS location.
• Ensure equipment is level and clean; troubleshoot and repair low-to-medium complexity issues with support from UL Solutions.
• Log weekly data in Excel and upload photos and documents to SharePoint.
• Communicate clearly as the first point of contact for equipment in the field.
• Use own transportation to get to the remote site and work 4WD/AWD a plus.
