Job summary

Waaree Solar Americas seeks a Quality Engineer to lead QA initiatives for solar module manufacturing in Goodyear, AZ. The role drives inspections, CAPAs, and adherence to ISO/IEC standards to ensure product reliability.

The successful candidate will implement QA programs, collaborate with procurement and production teams, and support continuous improvement across the value chain with Lean and Six Sigma methods. Travel ~10–20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
• Advanced degree or Certified Quality Engineer preferred
• Five (5) years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance in manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control activities throughout the solar module manufacturing process, including incoming materials inspection, in-process quality checks, and final product inspection.
• Develop and implement inspection protocols, standards, and procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action investigations to identify causes of quality issues and implement CAPAs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QA programs aligned with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company goals.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain to evaluate supplier quality performance and conduct supplier audits.
• Ensure supplier products meet specified quality standards and specifications.
• Drive LEAN operating principles to improve quality and customer satisfaction across the value chain.
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma, statistics, and process optimization to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation and reports to monitor KPIs and quality trends.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IEC standards and other regulations; stay updated on changes.
• Provide training on quality standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
• Occasional travel to client installations and supplier locations for inspections (10-20%).
