Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Production Technician I in South Carolina to safely operate equipment and manage materials in our finish-end manufacturing process. You will conduct preventative maintenance, handle alarms, perform basic quality checks, and interface with factory computer systems under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with preferred technical certification and at least 1 year in manufacturing or related fields.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred or substitute experience in warehousing, textiles, agriculture, or material inspection.

Responsibilities

Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity targets.
Complete required training within the stated timeframe.
Provide on-the-job training to team members when requested.
Monitor equipment and process parameters, respond to alarms, and escalate as needed.
Maintain inventory and ensure materials are available for the next shift.
Adhere to safety rules and good housekeeping practices.
Work with cross-functional teams on tests and problem solving.
