Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking an intermediate Production Operator to safely operate equipment and manage material and processes to manufacture high-quality photovoltaic solar modules at the required rate.

The role includes performing basic maintenance, addressing intermediate alarms, conducting quality checks, and interfacing with machine control panels and factory computer systems. A strong emphasis on teamwork, safety, and clear communication is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience; warehousing, textile, agriculture, or material inspection can count.
• Preference for an Associate degree or technical certificate.
• Internal candidates must have 60 credits of internal manufacturing-related training and a supervisor endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment in the middle submodule to finishing end of manufacturing.
• Conduct preventative maintenance procedures and address intermediate alarms.
• Perform basic quality control procedures and interface with equipment and factory computer systems.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and work in a team environment.
• Provide on-the-job training to teammates when requested.
