Job summary

Qcell in White, GA is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive development and qualification of PV module products. You will collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure reliable performance and timely project execution.

The role involves fabricating test modules, evaluating material compatibility, and conducting reliability analyses across international teams, with travel to Korea and Germany as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; material development or solar/module engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret laboratory data and translate results into engineering decisions.
• Experience with CAD and mechanical analysis tools; strong cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate solar modules and related materials.
• Fabricate pilot and test modules and assess process compatibility.
• Perform reliability testing (damp heat, thermal cycling, humidity-freeze, UV exposure, mechanical load).
• Analyze results and prepare reports to support material qualification decisions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and overseas counterparts.
• Respond to supplier issues and production-related material topics promptly.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions to reduce delays and improve efficiency.
• Travel as needed to Korea, Germany, and domestic sites for supplier meetings and alignment.
