Job summary

First Solar Inc. is hiring a Production Technician I at our Gaffney, SC facility to safely operate equipment and manage materials through the middle submodule to finishing, supporting the manufacturing of high-quality photovoltaic modules and maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will perform basic preventative maintenance, respond to intermediate alarms, monitor process data, and interface with Machine Control Panels and factory computer systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience; related experience considered (warehousing, textile, agriculture, material inspection).
• Internal candidates: 60 credits of internal training; supervisor endorsement and positive safety/performance ratings.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment to manufacture photovoltaic modules at required rate.
• Perform basic quality control and preventative maintenance.
• Interface with Machine Control Panels and factory computer systems.
• Work in a team environment with effective communication and adherence to safety procedures.
