Corning Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to support the maintenance team in keeping manufacturing equipment, systems, and facilities running smoothly.

You will assist with preventive tasks, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs to minimize downtime and ensure a safe production environment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, practical maintenance exposure, and ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training in maintenance is a plus.
• Experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields desired; entry-level considered.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance tasks.
• Commitment to safety regulations and safe work practices.
• Ability to work well in a team with good communication.
• Able to perform physically demanding work and endure various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour shift on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation and commissioning of new equipment or machinery.
• Follow maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and technical issues.
• Support facility maintenance tasks including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
• Assist in managing spare parts inventory.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities.
