Job summary

Advanced Green Technologies (AGT) seeks an experienced Solar Foreman to lead commercial solar installation projects in Sanford, FL. This hands-on field leadership role oversees crew performance, site safety, quality and on-time delivery, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

The Solar Leadman manages crews up to 10 when the foreman is not onsite, coordinates daily operations, and drives productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years as a foreman; 10+ years electrical experience; 2 years solar installation experience.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record; ability to lift 100 lbs; willing to travel statewide.
• NAPCEP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and keep work area clean for equipment installation.
• Plans installations to minimize material waste, per specs and codes.
• Installs controls and distribution gear like switches, panel boards, disconnects and inverters.
• Analyze fastening system for equipment support.
• Terminate wiring per code or job specification.
• Connect power cables to equipment per manufacturer specs and drawings.
• Prepares sketches showing wiring location or follows diagrams ensuring concealed wiring.
• Tests circuit continuity for safety using meters.
• Observes equipment operation to identify hazards and needed adjustments.
• Installs all solar components AC and DC per plan.
• Installs solar modules and racking per plans.
• Managing teams when foreman is not onsite.
