Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Solar Leadman 1 to assist in planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of solar PV systems across construction sites.

You will work with electrical, mechanical, and civil components and help coordinate craft workers to complete tasks safely and efficiently. The role requires hands-on installation, use of hand and power tools, and adherence to plans and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Solar Installer or equivalent in construction.
• Ability to understand and follow directions; must have all necessary tools listed.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of PV construction.
• Lay out, assemble and install solar modules and support structures.
• Apply weather sealing and ensure efficient installation and system maintenance.
• Coordinate tasks, supervise crew goals and pre-job safety planning.
• Inspect work for compliance with plans, specifications and industry standards.
• Work safely, report hazards, and participate in safety programs.
