Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a grounds maintenance worker to support solar power facilities. The role emphasizes safety, practical panel washing, vegetation management, and equipment operation across outdoor sites.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong English reading/writing, and ability to travel to sites. Outdoor work with variable conditions and PPE is expected, with occasional travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
• Able to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Keeps safety and environment as number one priority and utilizes PPE when required.
• Executes on washing panels utilizing panel washing equipment.
• Performs land maintenance functions such as pulling weeds, mowing, raking, sweeping, and cleaning.
• Operates landscaping equipment including tractors, riding mowers, push mowers, weed whackers, and other equipment.
• Identifies process improvements and communicates them to the Land Maintenance Supervisor.
• Applies over the counter chemicals (e.g. Round Up, fertilizer) as directed.
