Job summary

Scalo Solar Solutions is seeking a dedicated Solar Installer to join our growing team in the Pittsburgh area. The role involves installing solar PV systems on residential and commercial properties, reading blueprints, and coordinating with teammates to ensure high-quality installations.

We offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus for Lead Installers and $1,000 for experienced Technicians, plus weekly pay and attendance and site bonuses.

Qualifications

Experience in solar installation or related fields preferred.
Familiarity with blueprint reading and building codes is essential.
Strong skills in plumbing, fixture installation, and working with power tools.
Knowledge of both low voltage and high voltage electrical systems is a plus.
Ability to work at heights on roofs safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

Install solar panels and equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted structures.
Read and interpret blueprints for layout and installation requirements.
Utilize power tools and hand tools for fixture installation and system assembly.
Ensure installations comply with NEC and local regulations.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
Work with high voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols.
Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues related to solar installations.
Collaborate with commercial electricians for complex installations requiring low or high voltage expertise.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
