Job summary

AOE International seeks an experienced Solar Installation Instructor to deliver hands-on training at the Vienna Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois. The role focuses on residential and commercial PV installation, safety, and construction trades, combining classroom instruction with supervised labs.

Qualifications

At least three years of professional experience in solar installation or related skilled trades.
Experience training or mentoring adults.
Knowledge of safety, OSHA standards and electrical concepts.

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction covering residential and commercial solar PV installation.
Instruct on system operation, wiring, wiring diagrams and safety procedures.
Demonstrate proper methods for installing solar mounting, racking and balance-of-system components.
Coordinate credentialing and assessments (NCCER, OSHA) and maintain records.
Support employability development and transition planning for students.
