Job summary

AOE International is seeking an experienced Instructor to teach the Solar Photovoltaic Career Pathway, aligning with NABCEP benchmarks. You will lead classroom, lab and field sessions, supervise practicum on mock roofs, and prepare participants for the NABCEP exam and entry‑level solar work.

You will work with adult learners from diverse communities, enforce safety, and coordinate with the Training Manager to deliver hands‑on training across residential, commercial and utility-scale

Qualifications

• Three or more years installing, commissioning or maintaining PV systems.
• Experience training or mentoring new installers; classroom teaching preferred.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code Articles 690 and 705.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solar modules: PV safety, core knowledge, economics, design and O&M.
• Lead hands-on installation on mock roofs and ground mounts.
• Teach Construction Career Cluster with the Training Manager.
• Enforce lab and job site safety practices.
• Assess participants with tests and practicals, record results.
• Prepare participants for NABCEP Associate exam and practice exams.
• Supervise job site practicum with host contractor's crew lead.
• Identify struggling participants and arrange re-teaching and reassessment.
