Job summary

Sunpath Consulting in Atlanta, GA seeks a self-motivated Solar Installation Technician to install, maintain, and fine-tune solar PV systems powering homes, businesses, and places of worship. You’ll be on roofs or ground mounts, ensuring adherence to design specs, codes, safety standards, and best practices.

You’ll interpret plans, set up racking, mount panels, route DC/AC wiring, and perform final QA handoffs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years hands-on experience installing or maintaining solar PV systems.
Knowledge of PV components, electrical wiring, grounding, and building code requirements.
Comfortable working at heights, lifting up to 60 lbs, and performing physically demanding tasks.
Familiar with tools including drills, crimpers, conduit benders, multimeters, and hand/power tools.
Strong attention to detail; safety-focused mindset.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

System Installation & Assembly: interpret layout plans, surveys and blueprints to execute solar array installations.
Install racking systems, attach panels, and seal penetrations to maintain roof integrity.
Prepare, route, and connect DC and AC wiring per NEC and manufacturer standards.
Conduct final quality checks and document site conditions for client handoff.
Interact professionally with customers and communicate project timelines.
Collaborate with Install Leads and Project Managers for efficient workflow.
