Job summary

Bob Heinmiller Air Conditioning, Inc in the Greater Orlando area is seeking a Solar Installation Technician to join our hands-on solar team. You will install, assemble, service, and maintain residential and commercial solar energy systems, including photovoltaic panels and solar water heating equipment.

Ideal candidates have electrical experience, a valid driver's license, and comfort with roofs and construction sites.

Qualifications

• Previous electrical experience is required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety is essential.
• Experience on roofs, construction sites, HVAC systems, or renewable energy projects is a plus.

Solar Installation Technician

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Bob Heinmiller Air Conditioning has served homeowners and businesses throughout the Greater Orlando area for more than 30 years. As a family-owned company, we have built our reputation around dependable service, honest communication, quality workmanship, and taking care of both our customers and our employees.

As our solar division continues to grow, we are looking for a dependable Solar Installation Technician who is comfortable working on rooftops, using electrical and construction tools, and being part of a hands‑on installation team.

What You'll Do

In this position, you will help install, assemble, service, and maintain a variety of solar energy systems for residential and commercial customers. Projects may include photovoltaic solar panels, solar pool heating equipment, and solar water heating systems.

Daily responsibilities may include preparing roof areas for installation, mounting solar components, assisting with electrical connections, operating hand and power tools, troubleshooting installation issues, and making sure each job is completed safely and according to company standards.

You’ll work closely with other members of the solar team while maintaining a professional attitude around customers and their property.

What We're Looking For

Previous electrical experience is required.

Candidates should also have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, be comfortable using common hand and power tools, and have a strong understanding of workplace safety.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and with a crew. Experience working on roofs, construction sites, HVAC systems, electrical installations, or renewable energy projects is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

$20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
