Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee the development of a new solar facility in Kittitas County. The role collaborates with Construction Management, EPC contractors, and the Energy Delivery team from development handoff to commercial operation, with regular KPI reporting and budget control.

The role is office-based in a PSE facility with a hybrid schedule and monthly travel to remote job sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight years of experience managing complex major projects and project budgets.
• Advanced project management skills and training.
• Demonstrated knowledge of utility operations, standards, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules.
• Identify critical path activities and recovery opportunities.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, permitting, interconnection, and construction milestones.
• Coordinate schedule alignment among developers, EPC contractors, utilities, and equipment suppliers.
• Lead schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Manage project CAPEX budgets and contingency.
• Review EPC payment applications, invoices, and change orders.
• Track budget commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and project cash flow.
• Evaluate and negotiate claims, contract amendments, and commercial disputes.
• Implement cost control and change management processes.
• Coordinate design reviews at 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC stages.
• Review key engineering deliverables for compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate owner engineering reviews and technical due diligence.
• Develop and maintain a project Risk Register
• Lead risk workshops and mitigation planning.
• Escalate critical issues and decision points to management.
• Monitor permitting, environmental, supply chain, and construction risks.
