Job summary

Michigan Solar Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician / Site Surveyor to join our Commerce Twp team. You will start each day at the shop and travel to 1–4 sites to perform surveys or service calls, often involving roof work and outdoor conditions.

You will diagnose power and communication issues on SolarEdge, Enphase, Sol-Ark, and Tesla systems, and you may pilot a drone to capture roof details. This role demands teamwork and strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work on roofs and outdoors year-round in varied weather.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 60 lbs.
• Strong problem-solving and customer communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to assess installation scope and collect roof and site details.
• Perform service calls and diagnose power/communication issues on solar systems.
• Pilot a drone to gather site information as part of surveys and inspections.
• Coordinate with installation teams and travel to multiple job sites as needed.
