Job summary

Service Robot Co. is seeking hands-on technicians to install and maintain solar equipment on rooftops, ground-mounted systems, and large solar sites. You will perform site assessments, wiring, and routine maintenance while prioritizing safety and quality.

Training includes online coursework with in-person sessions and industry certifications, with paid first job support. The role requires comfort with outdoor work, travel to customer sites, and effective communication with site owners.

Qualifications

• Experience in roofing, electrical work, construction, HVAC, or another practical trade.
• Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn.
• Careful attention to safety and signs of equipment failure.
• Comfort using ladders, wearing a harness, and working at height.
• Availability for physical outdoor work and travel to customer sites.
• Reliability and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels, mounting systems, and wiring according to site plans.
• Maintain and repair inverters, combiners, trackers, and connectors.
• Inspect systems, take electrical readings, and use thermal scans to find faults.
• Clean panels and complete scheduled maintenance.
• Follow fall protection, electrical isolation, and test-before-touch procedures.
• Record each visit with photos, readings, and repair notes.
• Explain findings and follow-up work to the site owner.
• Keep tools, meters, and protective equipment ready for use.
