Job summary

Service Robot Co. seeks field-operating solar technicians for contract work across customer sites in California. You will install solar panels, mounting systems, and wiring per site plans, while inspecting performance and performing maintenance.

You will complete on-site tasks safely with fall protection and proper PPE, recording readings and photos for every visit, and communicating findings to site owners. Training provided, pay is hourly and per work order.

Qualifications

• Experience in roofing, electrical work, construction, HVAC, or another practical trade.
• Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn through training.
• Careful attention to safety and signs of equipment failure.
• Comfort using ladders, wearing a harness, and working at height.
• Availability for physical outdoor work and travel to customer sites.
• Reliability and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels, mounting systems, and wiring according to site plans.
• Maintain and repair inverters, combiner boxes, trackers, and connectors.
• Inspect systems, take electrical readings, and use thermal scans to find faults.
• Clean panels and complete scheduled maintenance.
• Follow fall protection, electrical isolation, and test-before-touch procedures.
• Record each visit with photos, readings, and repair notes.
• Explain findings and follow-up work to the site owner.
• Keep tools, meters, and protective equipment ready for use.
