Job summary

Terabase Energy, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our pre-assembly factory and on-site systems operating at peak efficiency. You will inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, working closely with field operations and design engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel up to 80% across the continental US. OSHA awareness and safety practices are preferred.

The Role:

We areseekinga highly motivated and experiencedMaintenance Technicianto join our team atTerabaseEnergy.You will beimportantto the success of our innovative solar construction approachbykeeping our equipmentin the highestoperationalstate.The ideal candidate willbe responsible forinspecting,maintaining,andrepairingourpre-assembly factorycomprisedofcustomizedmechanicalsystems, motors, actuators,sensors,basic electrical and vehicular systems.The candidate will work closelywithour field operations team and ourdesign engineering teamto ensure that all systems are running efficiently and effectively, serving as the first level of support forTerabase’son‑sitemechanicalandelectricalsystems. TheMaintenance Technicianwillperform preventative maintenance,troubleshootand resolve any issues that arisein close collaboration with theField Systems Engineer.


Duties


  • Inspect, maintain and repairseveral pre-assembly factory systems, including:

    • Various custom mechanical systems

    • Various integrated motors, actuators and sensors

    • Basic electrical systems, including power and control cabinets

    • Custom off-road vehicle platform

    • Roboticsupport systems, including compressors



  • Work with operations and engineering teams to ensure that all systems are running efficiently and effectively.

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all mechanical/electrical equipment

  • Correct Tier 1 issues and elevate issues to Tier 2 support engineers with discretion.

  • Work closely with the on-site field systems engineer, forming the project technical team

  • Provide support to troubleshoot and maintain other site equipment as needed

  • Collaborate with other engineers to identify root causes and technical corrective action

  • Maintain proper maintenance procedures documentation

  • Must be able to work outside for 10 hours a day (flexible schedule as may be required) and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

  • 80% travel required to project sites across the United States. Travel expenses and lodging will be covered by company


Required Experience


  • 5+ years of experience in maintainingindustrial or manufacturing equipmentin a multidisciplinaryrole

  • In-depth knowledge ofa variety of mechanical and electricalsystems

  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, mechanical and electrical

  • Practical understanding and application of failure modeanalysis

  • Advanced understanding of general maintenanceprocedures and techniques

  • Knowledge of industrial safetypractices onmaintenance and operations ofmechanical and electrical systems

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • The positionispredominantly site-basedwith projectslocatedaround the continental US.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification

  • Site construction experience, maintaining typical construction equipment and tools

  • Experience working with customers and/or colleagues in an industrial or mission‑critical environment


Compensation And Benefits

This role offers a base salary of $80,000 – $110,000 (DOE).


Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range, individual pay is determined (and may be lower or higher), dependent on work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
