Job summary

Optimum EPC, Inc. is seeking an experienced Solar Field Supervisor to oversee the construction and commissioning of solar projects.

You will lead on-site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence from start to finish. In this role you’ll apply your construction management know-how, read technical drawings, and enforce OSHA standards to deliver high-performance installations on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising solar construction projects.
• Experience with project management software (ProCore, Bluebeam).
• Demonstrated ability leading teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical schematics.
• Experience with electrical testing and safety protocols (Ohmmeter, OSHA).
• Experience managing subcontractors, budgets, and schedules.

We are seeking an experienced Solar Field Supervisor to assist in overseeing the management, construction and commissioning of solar energy projects under the direction of the Construction Manager. In this dynamic role, you will manage on-site teams, coordinate construction activities, ensure safety compliance, and maintain project schedules to deliver high-quality solar installations efficiently. Your expertise in construction management, technical drawings, and safety regulations will drive project success from start to finish. Essential Functions

• Supervise daily construction activities on the solar site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors to optimize productivity and quality of work.
• Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to verify accuracy and facilitate smooth execution.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam and other tools for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety compliance with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards.
• Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work for adherence to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Communicate with the Construction Manager on schedule updates, resource allocation, and daily progress reporting.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics using tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Manage field documentation including daily safety analysis, production reports and inspection logs using Construction Management Software.
• Ensure all work complies with construction regulations and environmental standards while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience supervising commercial or renewable energy construction projects with a strong emphasis on solar installations.
• Extensive knowledge of construction management practices including scheduling and project management software (ProCore, Bluebeam).
• Demonstrated ability managing teams in a fast-paced environment with excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, technical schematics, electrical systems testing (Ohmmeter use), and construction safety protocols (OSHA compliance).
• Experience managing subcontractors, reviewing contracts, overseeing budgets, and ensuring project timelines are met.
• Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations as well as local building codes related to solar energy projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a construction site setting.
• Prior heavy civil or commercial construction experience preferred; knowledge of DC electrical systems is a plus.
