Job summary

Repsol is seeking a Solar O&M Field Services Intern for a 12-week summer program based in Houston, Texas, with travel to operating solar project sites across North America.

You will support the Operations & Maintenance team in the safe and reliable operation of utility-scale solar facilities, assisting field technicians and site managers with inspections, maintenance, and data collection. The program runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant engineering field.
• Enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States.
• Strong interest in renewable energy operations and field services.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and renewable energy technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations & Maintenance with safe, reliable operation of utility-scale solar facilities.
• Support field technicians and site managers with inspections and maintenance activities.
• Participate in equipment troubleshooting and performance evaluations of solar components.
• Collect, analyze, and document field performance data to support reliability initiatives.
• Identify deficiencies and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Support site audits, safety inspections, and maintenance documentation.
• Track KPIs and review maintenance records and work orders.
• Assist with root cause analysis for equipment failures and operational issues.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Asset Management to optimize plant performance.
• Prepare operational reports, maintenance summaries, and project updates.
• Support contractor oversight and ensure safety standards compliance.
• Maintain accurate site operation records and present internship findings at program end.
