Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform safe, productive repairs and maintenance for Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants in Montgomery, AL.

You will conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maximize production while gaining hands-on experience in electrical systems, trackers, inverters, and DC/AC testing. A valid driver’s license and OSHA-10 are required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with electrical systems and components.
• Proficiency in using power tools for repair tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Must have valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything you do.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities.
• Willingness to learn NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices.
• DC and AC testing and I-V tracing.
• Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and connections.
• Maintain maintenance schedules for solar equipment and maintain documentation.
