Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) to perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities. This on-site role is based full-time at a jobsite in Girvin, TX, with safety as the top priority and opportunities to grow into a permanent position.

Responsibilities include testing and repairing solar equipment, utilizing monitoring apps, and documenting work with time and materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e safety training required/preferred.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform solar equipment testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using monitoring platforms (Locus/QOS/Vitals/RTDB).
• Accurately track time, materials, and work completed in the Sprocket system.
• Operate service equipment safely and maintain required records.
• Provide on-call support at designated solar facilities and coordinate with team.

Example: Locus, QOS, Vitals, RTDB, or various monitoring platformsPerform maintenance and diagnostic responsibilities utilizing system monitoring applicationsAccurately account for time and material costs expended in the performance of job responsibilitiesOperate service equipment safely and maintain required records related to equipment/systemsProvide “on‐call” service at assigned solar facilitiesUnderstand, follow and communicate safety regulations and work proceduresSupervise and provide ongoing training for Solar Technician Level I employeesPrepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performedAble to create a ticket from start to completion that affectively communicates the work performed.
