Join to apply for the Solar Field Service Technician role at Kelly.

Kelly is seeking a field service technician to service a site in Andrews, TX.

This is a long-term contract role (minimum 3 years) with the potential for permanent hire. The pay is $33/hour, with full benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance, 8 Paid Holidays, 3 weeks of PTO, 401K, and weekly pay. The role involves minimal paid travel and some overtime (~10 hours/week at 1.5x pay). The company provides tools, uniform, and a cell phone/laptop.

You will perform service, maintenance, warranty remediation, and commissioning for photovoltaic inverters, energy storage, plant controls, DC panels, and substation work.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service to ensure 99% uptime
• Diagnose and repair inverters and energy storage systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electromechanical, and control issues
• Conduct annual maintenance inspections
• Maintain maintenance records
• Assist in developing maintenance programs
• Perform startup and commissioning for new PV inverter and energy storage installations
• Inspect physical installations (wiring, connections, mechanical condition)
• Power up, set parameters, and ensure proper operation
• Monitor performance and efficiency
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Provide accurate and timely service reports

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Minimum 2 years industry experience with inverters
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (90-100%)
