Job summary

Fortress Fencing, LLC is seeking a skilled Fence Installer/Laborer for large-scale solar projects. You will install perimeter and substation fencing per specs, ensure safety compliance, and meet local regulations.

The role requires reading blueprints, setting posts, assembling gates, and using hand and power tools. Strong attention to safety, physical fitness, and a valid license are important; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of fence installation experience.
• Familiarity with ASTM F1043 Class 1C and SSPWC standards.
• Ability to read construction drawings and follow technical specifications.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, working outdoors in varying weather, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install chain-link and game fencing per project drawings and NEC/AHJ requirements.
• Set terminal, brace, and line posts using concrete footings or driven methods.
• Assemble and hang gates with tamper-proof hardware and padlocks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and fencing specifications.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform site prep including clearing vegetation and marking post locations.
• Install signage at required intervals per code and owner requirements.
• Maintain daily logs of installed footage and work performed using digital platforms.
• Comply with OSHA and site-specific safety protocols.
