Job summary

MasTec, Inc. seeks a skilled equipment operator for pile driving on renewable energy projects in Wortham, TX. You will drive production piles, assist in installing pile types, and operate skid steers.

The role requires adherence to safety policies and coordination with crew signals, with travel to multiple sites as needed. Qualified candidates have a GED or high school diploma and 2+ years of heavy equipment experience in renewable energy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of related experience, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Two years’ experience operating heavy equipment in renewable energy environments.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
• Operates heavy equipment with knowledge of functions, operation, troubleshooting and driving
• Distribute, lay out, assemble and install solar array components as required
• Distribute and install piles and racking materials
• Assist with placement of piles onto the field using a skid steer or similar equipment
• Remediate piles for tolerances and ensure proper alignment
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals; move loads accordingly
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment; ensure proper care and use of equipment
• Communicate clearly to ensure understanding of duties and safety regulations
• Occasional travel to different job sites; other duties as assigned by supervisory staff
• Work environment includes exposure to outside weather, noise, and heavy equipment; accommodate disabilities as needed (if applicable)
