Job summary

Canadian Solar US Cell Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a Technician II, Equipment to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment in the solar cells factory. The role supports production targets and works closely with the equipment and process teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of relevant experience, hands-on machinery knowledge, and familiarity with solar manufacturing tools.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of equipment maintenance experience preferred.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of complex machinery.
• Familiarity with solar cell production equipment (screen printers, diffusion furnaces, wet benches, PECVD).
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with maintenance software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions.
• Monitor equipment operation during shifts and adjust for efficiency.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment challenges.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and prepare shift reports.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliant operation.
• Assist in setup and calibration of new equipment and upgrades.
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate ongoing issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities.
• Adhere to designated working hours and shift arrangements.
