Mortenson Construction is seeking a Solar Operator II to operate a range of construction equipment and support site safety and efficiency. The role requires attention to safety rules, reliable maintenance checks, and adherence to project plans.

You will collaborate with crews and supervisors, ensuring tasks are executed accurately and safely on site. The position emphasizes independent work with strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to read load charts.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Valid driver's license with endorsements as required by law.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and load charts.
• Ability to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, pedals, and steering; basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently with active listening and effective communication; open to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, bobcat/skid-steer, boom lifts/aerial lifts, roller, backhoe, and track crane.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and maintain clean, organized worksite.
• Perform routine maintenance, observe equipment operation, and detect malfunctions.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
