Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Industrialized Equipment Specialist for our Solar group in Fridley, MN. You will lead the build, deployment, readiness, and continuous improvement of specialized equipment, coordinating from planning through completion.

You will maintain documentation, manage parts and supplier coordination, plan material requirements, and work with engineers, technicians, and project teams to ensure safe, fully documented equipment ready for field use.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 1+ years in construction equipment or related field; bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience coordinating equipment builds, fabrication, assembly, testing, and deployment.
• Ability to maintain controlled technical documentation (drawings, BOM, manuals).
• Knowledge of purchasing, planning, inventory, supplier coordination, and billing.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical/controls information and communicate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new equipment builds from planning through completion, central point among leads and technicians.
• Maintain design, build, and configuration documentation including drawings, BOMs, manuals.
• Plan material requirements, source parts, create POs, monitor lead times, resolve shortages.
• Develop build plans and schedules; coordinate testing, commissioning, and delivery.
• Coordinate with engineers and suppliers to resolve build issues and changes.
• Gather feedback to drive equipment improvements and standardization.
• Support demonstrations, pilots, field validation, and training activities.
• Maintain fleet and inventory records and deployment history.
• Coordinate inspections, maintenance, recalls, warranties, and technical support.
