Job summary

Solar Gain seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to support Commercial & Industrial solar projects across Arizona with occasional travel to California. The role partners with field teams to ensure pre-construction through commissioning runs smoothly and safely.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in solar, strong NEC/UBC knowledge, and a solid project-management background. Travel required; safety-first culture and professional client interactions are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Journeyman Electrician certification.
• 2+ years in a similar role (solar industry experience).
• Strong understanding of NEC, UBC, and electrical systems.
• Project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers and technical tools.
• OSHA-10 certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, scheduling, procurement, and execution of solar projects.
• Manage material orders, inventory, and equipment readiness.
• Coordinate submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor safety, progress, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and local codes.
• Assist with commissioning, reporting, and project closeout.
• Collaborate with internal teams and interface with customers as needed.
