Job summary

Our dedicated team is committed to making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the country.We are looking for a Crew Lead Installer to assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The role also involves providing leadership to other crew members on the job.**Duties/Responsibilities:*** Assembles and installs solar panels on roofs* Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customers' needs and expectations; connects panels to the power grid* Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety* Complete projects within established policies and procedures* Ensures that equipment is weather-sealed* Performs routine maintenance on PV systems* Assisting the Electrician with connecting PV panels to the electrical system* Train crew members up to speed on all components utilized during installation (procedures, tools, lines of communication, etc.)* Check over provided jobs (pack out) before leaving the warehouse each morning to ensure provided material.* Review plans and count parts from the plan set to verify BOM* Responsible for final system walkthrough with the customer ensuring quality and aesthetic of install* Cleanliness of job site and lon installation vehicles* Responsible for following and actively enforcing all OSHA and ION safety guidelines at their location, including attending weekly safety meetings and safety inspections per ION policy* Performs other related duties as assigned**Required Skills/Abilities:*** Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation.* Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment.* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to read building plans.* Ability to read equipment manuals.* Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels.* Ability to use ION technology, such as smartphones, Paycom, Field Pro, SalesForce, etc.* Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required**Education and Experience:*** A high school diploma or equivalent is required* Solar Install experience is required* Vocational or technical school training is preferred**Driving Requirements:*** Must be at least 21 years old* Must have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check**Physical Requirements:*** Must be able to work at great heights.* Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.* Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time.**Work Environment:*** Installation is done outdoors. Installers work on rooftops but also sometimes work in attics and crawl spaces to connect panels to the electrical grid.* Installers work as part of a team.
