Job summary

Pfister Energy, Inc. seeks a Solar Site Superintendent to oversee subcontractor construction activities on commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.

You will manage jobsite operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and keep projects on schedule across Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. You will verify IFC drawings, conduct field inspections, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders while maintaining QA/QC records and supporting project closeout.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of solar field supervision or electrical foreman experience on rooftop and ground-mounted projects.
• Experience overseeing subcontractor performance on commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of PV systems, wiring, grounding, and electrical installations.
• Ability to read construction drawings and single-line diagrams.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification; NFPA 70E familiarity; Fall Protection Cert preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily subcontractor operations across rooftop and ground-mounted solar sites.
• Monitor schedules, manpower, materials, progress; report delays to Construction Manager.
• Verify IFC drawings meet project specs, electrical requirements, and quality standards.
• Conduct field inspections, document deficiencies, and maintain QA/QC records in Procore.
• Enforce safety requirements per OSHA NFPA 70E and site plans.
• Coordinate with managers, subcontractors, inspectors, utilities, and vendors to maintain schedules.
• Hold subs accountable for scope, workmanship, manpower, schedule, and safety.
• Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics, inspections, and closeout activities.
• Support punch-list, testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation.
• Identify design conflicts, change orders, delays, safety concerns, and performance issues.

Location: Maryland or Pennsylvania Based

Pfister Energy is seeking an experienced Solar Site Superintendent to oversee subcontractor construction activities on commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. We're looking for a hands-on field leader who can manage jobsite operations, enforce safety and quality standards, keep projects on schedule, and ensure successful project completion.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily subcontractor operations across commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar construction sites.
• Monitor project schedules, manpower, material deliveries, productivity, and construction progress; report delays and issues to the Construction Manager.
• Verify solar PV installations meet Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings, project specifications, electrical requirements, and quality standards.
• Conduct field inspections and required quality control testing, document deficiencies, and maintain daily construction reports and QA/QC records in Procore.
• Enforce jobsite safety requirements, including OSHA standards, NFPA 70E, fall protection, and site-specific safety plans.
• Coordinate with Construction Managers, subcontractors, inspectors, utilities, vendors, and other trades to maintain schedules and resolve field issues.
• Hold subcontractors accountable for contracted scope, workmanship, manpower, schedule, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics, inspections, and other critical construction activities.
• Support punch-list completion, system testing and commissioning, as-built documentation, and project closeout.
• Identify and elevate design conflicts, change-order conditions, schedule delays, safety concerns, and subcontractor performance issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience of solar field supervision, commercial construction supervision, or electrical foreman experience, including rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
• Proven experience overseeing subcontractor performance on commercial construction projects.
• Working knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including racking, modules, inverters, DC/AC wiring, grounding, and electrical installations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, single-line diagrams, and civil site plans.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required; familiarity with NFPA 70E required. Fall Protection Competent Person certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore or equivalent construction management software.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

Projects are based in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

The company covers hotels and per diem for project travel.
