Job summary

Walbec Group, including Zenith Tech, is seeking an experienced Foreman/Construction Manager to lead field teams on complex projects across the Midwest. You will partner with the Project Manager, supervise tradespeople, foremen and subcontractors, review plans, schedule deliveries, and mentor junior staff to uphold safety and quality.

You will manage costs, productivity, and risk, ensure workmanship meets client expectations, and perform duties assigned by supervision while promoting a positive

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
• Ten years of Foreman experience or 5 years of Superintendent/Construction Manager experience.
• Electrical experience is preferred.
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of corporate and industry practices and their impact on project activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the field team consisting of Tradespeople, Foreman and Subcontractors.
• Review plans and construction drawings.
• Order and schedule deliveries of material.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors that impact ZTI's work.
• Create and maintain a positive work atmosphere with clients and staff.
• Mentor Foremen and Project Engineers for personal and company growth.
• Schedule management, equipment management, material and tool management, personnel management, and risk management.
• Ensure labor and equipment costs are managed; assist in procurement/estimating/pre-job planning.

The Position:

• Operational Planning & Management

  • Work as a partnership with the Project Manager (mutually accountable to each other).

  • Lead the field team consisting of Tradespeople, Foreman and Subcontractors.

  • Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required.

  • Review of plans and construction drawings.

  • Order and schedule deliveries of material.

  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors that impact ZTI's work.

  • Create and maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating appropriately with clients, sub-contractors, co-workers, and management.

  • Mentor Foremen and Project Engineers for personal and company growth

• Accountable to Foreman/Lead Foreman in the areas of safety, information & planning, personnel, materials, tools & equipment and environment.

Requirements:
