Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the design, development, and execution of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects during the summer. You will work with cross-functional teams across planning, design, and construction to gain hands-on experience.

This role emphasizes AutoCAD-based drawings, electrical deliverables, and understanding interconnection requirements while contributing to project delivery and continuous improvement in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of NEC, NESC, IBC.
• Foundational knowledge of AC power distribution and transmission systems.
• Experience using AutoCAD or other engineering/graphics tools.
• Interest in ETAP and other electrical system modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of AutoCAD-based engineering drawings and design documents under guidance of engineering staff.
• Support the preparation of electrical engineering deliverables and construction drawing packages for solar projects.
• Participate in the design of utility-scale PV and BESS interconnection activities and related standards.
• Collaborate with Development, Engineering, and Delivery teams to enable project execution and improvements.
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members.
• Contribute to a collaborative and professional work environment.
• Represent OneEnergy professionally in interactions with stakeholders and partners.
• Support leadership and innovation initiatives within renewables.
