Job summary

Moss & Associates LLC is hiring a Commissioning Technician based in the United States to support the startup and delivery of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. The role entails performing testing and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring safe and efficient project energization.

The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical commissioning, troubleshooting, and be willing to travel extensively. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Commissioning Director.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning electrical systems in solar, BESS, or utility/industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical testing methods and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and control logic.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and field execution experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Execute NETA-based testing to validate system performance.
• Support system startup, energization, and troubleshooting.
• Interpret electrical drawings to verify installation.
• Coordinate with construction and SCADA teams.
• Document commissioning activities and test results.
