Job summary

Greenbelt Alliance in Oakland, CA seeks a Climate Resilience Campaign Manager to lead the Solano Together coalition and drive local climate resilience initiatives in Solano County.

You will coordinate campaigns, manage operations, and engage with elected officials, agency staff, and community stakeholders, while representing the organization at events. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in community organizing, coalition building, campaign management, or government/legislative affairs.
• Proven ability building and maintaining relationships with elected officials, agency staff, and community stakeholders.
• Experience managing multi-partner projects with deadlines, including budget oversight.
• Strong public speaking and writing skills, with comfort serving as a spokesperson to press and public audiences.
• Ability to regularly and reliably attend in-person meetings across Solano county, including evenings and weekends.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Solano Together Coalition, including workplan implementation, budget oversight, and planning and facilitating regular Coalition meetings.
• Partner with marketing and communications to produce social media, web, email, and print content for Coalition audiences.
• Build and sustain relationships with local elected officials, agency staff, and community stakeholders.
• Serve as a public-facing spokesperson, engaging press and community groups on the Coalition's positions.
• Support volunteer trainings, canvassing, tabling, and outreach events.
• Advance the Solano Sea Level Rise Adaptation Planning Project through public engagement and event support.
• Cultivate new and existing partnerships to expand climate resilience work across the county.
• Supervise and mentor at least one part-time Resilience Fellow.
