Job summary

Baton Corporation is seeking a Senior Solana Program Engineer to design, build, and maintain on-chain programs in Rust that operate under heavy real-world load. This onsite role in the United States offers ownership from design through deployment and ongoing iteration, with close collaboration to backend and frontend teams.

The ideal candidate has deployed production on-chain programs, understands performance bottlenecks, and can ensure security, correctness, and upgradeability in a live system

Qualifications

• High-performance Rust programming
• Experience with Solana or similar on-chain platforms
• Understanding of cryptographic security and upgradeability

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance Solana programs in Rust for production load
• Reason about correctness, security, and upgradeability in a live environment
• Optimize compute usage, account layouts, and transaction flows for latency and throughput
• Collaborate with backend/frontend engineers on on-chain/off-chain boundaries
• Debug, test, and deploy changes with rapid iteration for real users
• Participate in protocol design discussions and system constraints
• Own programs end to end from design to deployment and monitoring
