Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a motivated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Soils Laboratory Technician to join our Louisville team. No experience is required; paid training is provided and we cover your certification fees to help you grow.

Under supervision you will perform basic lab tests on soil and construction material samples, assist with sample prep, record results, and help maintain calibration records and QA/QC documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Lab certifications applicable to the lab work performed must be obtained.
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.
• Strong communication and basic math skills are essential.
• Ability to follow directions and work under close supervision.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic lab tests on soil and construction material samples under supervision.
• Assist with sample preparation and testing procedures.
• Compile test results, input data, and manage administrative duties.
• Maintain calibration records and QA/QC documentation; support equipment upkeep.
• Assist with occasional fieldwork as needed.
