Qualifications

• Associates degree and two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with budgeting, grants, or local government is preferred.
• Strong writing skills and ability to present to students, teachers and community groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and deliver educational programs for K-12 and other audiences.
• Participate in Envirothon training and competitions.
• Organize district Conservation field days for 7th grade students.
• Coordinate teacher workshops and high school Resource Conservation Workshops.
• Plan department events and annual awards and presentations.
• Assist SWCD Board by taking minutes and preparing publications.
• Prepare county forms, travel forms, and grant paperwork.
• Publish newsletters, press releases, brochures and annual reports.
• Assist with county budget development and grant disbursements.
• Support walk-in and phone clients with information and referrals.
• Attend department and professional meetings to stay updated.
• Serve on committees and perform other duties as assigned.
